Foundation Video: Episode 19 with Om Malik

Kevin Rose
Partner

For the latest installment of my Foundation video series, I sat down with Om Malik, founder of GigaOm, journalist, and venture partner at True Ventures. He talks about his early days in India, his first break as a tech writer, and what inspired him to start GigaOm in 2006.  He also shares his thoughts about the upside of rejection, the evolution of media, and the optimism of technology. Enjoy!

Om on entrepreneurship:

Do something you’d want to do for the rest of your life. There is no playbook to be a founder. There is no playbook to be an entrepreneur. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers. You need to do what you love.
